Questions
How much smaller will my images get?
Phone photos usually shrink by 70 to 90 percent when resized to 1600 pixels wide at the default quality. Images that are already small and well compressed change little, and are then left as they are.
Will they still look good?
At quality 75 most people cannot tell the difference on screen. Use the preview to compare before you download, and raise the quality for print.
Should I choose WebP?
For websites, yes: WebP is usually 25 to 35 percent smaller than JPG at the same quality and every modern browser shows it. Keep JPG for email attachments and older software.
Are my images uploaded?
